Dear Patient,
I am delighted to welcome you to my new practice at Breslauer Platz in Berlin!
I am a licensed psychological psychotherapist. In this role, I diagnose and treat conditions affecting what we commonly refer to as the mind or psyche.
... but what does that actually mean?
The term psyche refers to our thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and behaviors—in other words, everything that shapes our inner experience. Just like our body, the psyche can become imbalanced. When this happens and results in distress, impairment, or suffering, we speak of mental health disorders.
Similar to physical illnesses, mental health disorders can manifest through a variety of symptoms, such as persistent sadness, anxiety, mood swings, difficulties concentrating, sleep disturbances, exhaustion, social withdrawal, or changes in eating and activity patterns. These symptoms can significantly affect daily life and overall well-being.
Some of the more common mental health conditions include depression, addiction, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, and eating disorders.
There are several different approaches to psychotherapy. The ones financed by statutory health insurance in Germany are:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) → What is CBT?
- Systemic Therapy → What is Systemic Therapy?
- Psychodynamic Psychotherapy → What is Psychodynamic Psychotherapy?
- Psychoanalysis → What is Psychoanalysis?
In my practice, I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adults.
During an initial consultation, we will explore together which therapeutic approach is best suited to your individual concerns and needs.
If you have any questions about my services, please feel free to contact me through Doctolib.
I look forward to hearing from you.

My services
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy / CBT (Individual Therapy)
Individual behavioral therapy is a widely used form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing dysfunctional patterns of behavior. This form of therapy aims to promote positive behavioral changes through targeted interventions and to improve internal psychological processes.
In an individual setting, the therapist can provide personalized support, allowing the client to work on personal issues and challenges in a safe and confidential space.
Techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral experiments, and exposure therapy help reduce anxiety and support the development of new patterns of behavior.
The goal of behavioral therapy is to strengthen the client’s sense of self-efficacy and provide effective coping strategies in order to reduce psychological distress in a lasting way.

Online Psychotherapy
Online psychotherapy is becoming increasingly popular. It offers the advantage of attending psychotherapeutic sessions conveniently from home.
Established methods of cognitive behavioral therapy are used to support clients in changing their thought patterns and behaviors.
Therapists and clients can stay in contact through video calls, phone calls, or specialized therapy apps. This makes treatment flexible and easily accessible.
This form of therapy can be especially helpful for people who, for various reasons, find it difficult to visit a traditional practice — for example because of geographical distance or limited mobility.

Costs
Private Health Insurance and Civil Servant Aid Beneficiaries (Private Health Insurance, Beihilfe)
Private health insurance companies and the civil servant aid system (Beihilfe) generally cover the costs of psychotherapy without difficulty.
As reimbursement always depends on the specific terms of your insurance contract, I recommend clarifying coverage directly with your insurer in advance.
As a result of the new fee recommendations effective from July 1, 2024, an additional financial contribution from the patient is normally no longer required.
Patients with Statutory Health Insurance (Gesetzlich Versicherte)
Patients insured under the statutory health insurance system may also, under certain conditions, receive psychotherapy in my private practice.
For this, the assumption of costs must be applied for and approved by the health insurance fund before treatment begins through a separate procedure.
I would be happy to inform you by phone or email about the requirements and the exact process involved. You may also contact me via the Doctolib platform using the “Message via Doctolib” function.

Special Medical Care Coverage (Heilfürsorge)
Members of the armed forces can generally receive psychotherapy in a private practice without complications.
For the initial consultation, you only need a cost coverage declaration issued by your military physician (medical form San/Bw/0218).
Employees of the German Federal Police (Bundespolizei) may also contact my private practice directly for psychotherapeutic treatment.

Self-Paying Patients (Selbstzahler)
If you wish to pay for treatment yourself, billing is carried out in accordance with the German Fee Schedule for Psychotherapists (GOP).
To give you a clearer idea of the costs that may arise during treatment, the following overview shows the fees calculated according to the GOP (multiplier factor 2.5):
- Initial consultation / trial sessions: €134 per 50-minute session.
- Assessment and diagnosis: €199, charged once at the beginning of therapy. Duration: 90 minutes.
- Psychotherapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): €153 per 50-minute therapy session.
